The sedan is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine to put out 250 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. This base engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front- or four-wheel drive. The technological features offered include the City Safety, which can detect and react to pedestrians, animal, cyclists, and other cars and a Pilot Assist to push the sedan up to a 30-mph speed. This 2017 S90 goes on sale this Fall 2016.

A clean and elegant interior design has been offered by the 2017 S90. Comfort front bucket seats come with 10-way power adjustments, power lumbar, and 6-way driver seat, and driver seat memory. The rear seats also come with a 6-way passenger seat and a 60-40 folding split-bench front facing forward seatback leather seat. Other features equipped inside the new S90 are manual tilt/telescoping steering column, mobile hotspot internet access, leather steering wheel, front and rear cupholders, cruise control with steering wheel controls, and other standard features.
The entertainment system offered include a Sensus Connect in a 9.3-inch touchscreen, a 330-watt radio with high performance AM/FM, Sensus Navigation, 1 auxiliary input, 10 speakers, 1 USB input, and a Sirius Satellite Radio.
As applied in the car’s interior, the exterior is also designed in an expensive and elegant look. The 18-inch wheel is a double spoke silver bright alloy one wrapped in a P245/45R18 Pirelli VAS tire. The 115.8-inch wheelbase in the SPA platform is nearly two inches fewer than the XC90.
The lighting system is supported with front and rear fog lights, cornering lights, fully automatic projector beam led low/high beam daytime running headlights with delay-off, perimeter/approach lights, and LED brakelights.
