PistonCars.com – 2017 Genesis G90; an all-new Genesis family of luxurious cars created by Hyundai. As we know, Hyundai Motor Company is a South Korean multinational automaker based in Seoul, South Korea. However, as the first Genesis product, it leaves the Hyundai name and named as the Genesis G90.
The Genesis G90 is built in a formal and understated structure just like the Mercedes E-Class. The interior of this luxury sedan is designed using leather and luxury features such as Lexicon audio, “VIP” 14-way adjustable rear seats and a 22-way adjustable driver’s seat. This exclusive car comes with a 311-hp V-6, a 365-hp V-6, and optional 420-hp V-8 engine.

Inside the G90, there are a 12.3-inch wide-screen dashboard display, a 17-speaker Lexicon audio system, and a 7-inch display in the instrumental panel, a 22-way power driver’s seat, 16-way passenger, “VIP” 12-way adjustable rear seats, and tri-zone climate control. There is also the Smart Posture Caring (SPC) system. It automatically adjusts the seat, steering wheel, outside mirror, and head-up display to the optimal position the driver’s body.
The 2017 Genesis G90 also brings a laminated rear window and thicker carpet, and all doors feature triple seals with double-pane glass. Other features offered are lane-keep assist, a driver-drowsiness monitor (including a cabin CO2 sensor), advanced adaptive cruise control, auto-braking with pedestrian detection, head-up display, and other standard features.
The G90 is built in a long hood, upright grille, and formal roof-line convey a dignified presence. It brings the two-piece 19-inch wheel quell excess turbulence.
Also, it comes with softer headlights and the vertical taillights lean into the rear quarter-panels to set off a strong shoulder line running all the way to the front fenders.
The base engine will be an all-new-twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V-6. It is expected to put out 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque at 1300rpm. Another engine available is the 5.0-liter V-8 which produces 420 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque at 5000rpm. Both engines receive regular fuel and are mated with a smaller eight-speed automatic transmission. The standard setup is in the form of rear-wheel drive.
Price and Release Date
The 2017 Genesis G90 made its debut at New York Auto Show. However, the price and arrival date have not announced yet but the new G90 is expected to be on sale in 2016 or 2017.
